This week on October 16, 2017, 'General Hospital' fans were introduced to a new character named Troy, the bodyguard played by Matt (Matthews) Jayson. Though this was Jayson's first appearance on 'GH', it's definitely not his first time appearing on soaps much less an ABC daytime soap opera.
Jayson is an actor, writer, and producer who is best known for his roles in "Transparent" and "Pretty Little Liars". It is noted that he has appeared on almost all of daytime television soaps. His soap opera past include roles such as; a drug dealer and Rex's (ex-John-Paul Lavoisier) contact on 'One Life to Live', a paramedic on 'As the World Turns' in 2006, a thief on 'Guiding Light' in 2007, EMT on 'All My Children' on and off from 2003 - 2010, EMT on 'The Young and the Restless', Pence on 'Days of Our Lives' in 2015 and Jason Vickers, a paramedic on 'The Bold and the Beautiful' in 2015 & 2016.
Apart from his daytime roles, Jayson has appeared in numerous films such as; All Out Dysfunktion!, The Cell Mate, Penumbra and more. And played roles on primetime serials such as; NCIS, Scorpion, The Fosters, CSI: Miami, Chuck and Sex and the City. Fans can look for Jayson to make another 'GH' appearance as Troy on October 20, 2017 as well as for him to act alongside GH's Robert Palmer Watkins (Dillon) in the upcoming movie titled, "Last Three Days".
