As promised, I have taken a few pics of the 1st Tercio to share with you. Remembering this project got off to a rocky start due to figure quality, I have done my best "2 foot rule" painting on them and am overall pleased with the results.
I was torn between the various uniform schemes I've seen for the Spanish. The figures didn't match the paintings of Spanish dress so I went with the earlier Spanish uniform around 1520-1534. Later the uniform appeared more yellow with red undertones. This array matches a photo I do have and will be the theme I will use for all the infantry.
I am not a huge fan of painting stripes in 15mm but the Early and middle Frankish armies I completed gave me some practice. It still takes quite a bit of time for me.
