I love this time because I don't really suit the summer pastels and floral prints. I'm all about the darker tones and heavier fabrics. The Primark/Pennys look book is first past the post this year with their selection for next season. I quite like it. I'm here for those punk tartan trousers if I'm honest.
Looking at this look book, I don't think I would have chosen Primark as the brand if I didn't know. It's a cosy collection of casual looks so far. I'm interested to see this developed a bit more.
I am seeing a lot of 90s grunge influences mixed with 00s pieces. In fact, I spent a night this week in a bar in Nottingham which was filled with hipsters under the age of 26. I don't know what made me feel worse - drinking on a work night or drinking in a bar where everyone was dressed in clothes I wore the first time round.
I can sadly reveal that hipsters are now moving to late 90s and 00s influences. The vibe appears to be ' I found this and threw it on and didn't actually plan an outfit' which is in reality more curated then it looks. I would expect to see much more of this in look books to come.
