According to Brad Sams of Thurrott , he has the real list of ports and connections for the Xbox Series X , the new console that Microsoft will release later this year.
This Monday (06), during its conference at CES 2020, AMD showed the back of the new Xbox and many people on the Internet believed that it was true. What happens is that AMD bought the render from TurboSquid, a company that specializes in this type of work. As such, the rear of the console that appears at CES 2020 was fake.
Later, Sams wanted to confirm with the insiders which ports and connectors are actually included in the console and, to his surprise, there is no USB-C port on the device.
List of possible Xbox Series X ports and connectors
- 2 USB-A (SuperSpeed) ports at the rear
- 1 USB-A port on the front
- 1 Ethernet port
- 1 HDMI port
- 1 port for optical audio cable
- 1 power cord input
In the conceptual image created by TurboSquid, the console had two HDMI ports, which was denied by the insiders. They also reported that the model they are testing has a debugging port, which should be left out of the end-user version because it is a developer tool.
In the image above, we see a conceptual image created by Thurrott , with what they call the “right doors and connectors,” located in their proper place, and between the air vents for ventilation.
According to the information, what stands out most is the lack of USB-C inputs. The Xbox Series X is due for release later in the year. If this information is confirmed, the console will hit the market with lagged USB ports.
