When a delicious, jazzy pop number makes the rounds, it is important that you take notice. YouTube sensation turned major label artists, Karmin, have been hard at work promoting their upcoming debut album, Pulses, set for release next month. While lead single "Acapella" stalled on the charts this past summer, second offering, "I Want It All", seems to be the crossover hit the talented duo needs to shine.
The jazz-inspired song is probably the best release from the newly engaged couple to date. With sultry vocals and seductive lyrics, along with an insanely catchy beat, the new single screams for massive radio airplay. Gone is the duo's trademark hip-hop flavor, replaced with a straightforward pop sound that would make any listeners get up on their feet and sing along. "All I need is one more night with you, it's amazing what one more night can do, I want it all," they sing.
To help increase the exposure for "I Want It All", Karmin have released a fun, different and energetic music video. Taking place during the nightlife of a disco-inspired club, the duo are shown playing instruments, dancing alongside the crowd in roller skates and looking gorgeous for the camera. The finished product is definitely a change of pace and style for the artists as they begin their new bid for pop takeover.
Fans will be quick to criticize the "generic" approach to the visual, but I can only commend Karmin for putting together a fierce and vibrant piece for an equally loud and funky track. Amy looks stunning throughout, the dance routine is on point and it seems the two simply had a good time filming, what more do you want from them?
"I Want It All" is not blowing up the charts at the moment, but hopefully that all changes. The newly released music video will only help in the brilliant song's ultimate success. Well done guys!
